Zacuto presents the award-winning Z-Finder EVF.

Zacuto is transforming the form factor of DSLR cameras for video with our electronic viewfinder. The Zacuto EVF is a 3.2” high resolution monitor that is used in conjunction with all the Z-Finder models. This electronic viewfinder is compatible with all cameras with an HDMI output including the Panasonic AG-AF100, Sony FS100, Sony F3, Scarlet, Red One & Epic.

This electronic viewfinder allows you to operate the DSLR camera or any camera with an HDMI port, with the correct form factor for video with the camera “in-line” to your rod system (the most stable way) and your eye in the Z-Finder offset.

The Zacuto EVF

The EVF snap is our standard EVF that has the Zacuto Z-Finder Frame built into the unit. The Z-Finder Pro or Jr. snap on and off of the monitor. You can use the EVF as a small on-board monitor or as an EVF alone.

-Overhauled the manual scale interface to a much more user friendly version where customers can create up to 8 unique user presets as opposed to 4 in the previous firmware

-Menu indicator added to show when you have selected an option that can be changed with up or down buttons
-NEXFS100 camera preset fixed to display correctly
-D3100 preset now titled D5100

The Zacuto EVF Flip

The EVF Flip has a Z-Finder frame built into the unit that can be flipped open to 180 degrees. You can also pop off the Z-Finder and use the EVF as a monitor similar to the EVF Snap. You can use the Z-Finder Pro or Jr. on this model as well. This is essential when working handheld with a producer or director so that you can show them the shot without having to have them get their eye in the viewfinder. You just flip up and they can see the shot!

The Zacuto EVF

The Z-Finder EVF is a complete EVF. It includes the EVF Snap model and an optical viewfinder which snaps onto the frame on the monitor. The optical viewfinder contains high quality 2.5x optics with anti-fog shields. The anti-fog is extremely important for reducing fog. It does not have a diopter but will include the Zacuto Z-Finder Extender Frames. The Extender Frames will get the focus close but might not be exact as you can’t dial it in with a diopter like you can with our Z-Finder Pro models.

The Z-Finder EVF Pro

The Z-Finder EVF Pro is a complete EVF with diopter. It includes the EVF Flip model and an optical viewfinder which will snap onto the frame of the monitor and can flip up 180 degrees. The optical viewfinder contains high quality 2.5x optics with anti-fog shields and a diopter. The anti-fog is extremely important for reducing fog. It will also include extender frames. The Z-Finder Extender Frames allow you to further adjust the focal point of the Z-Finder by semi-permanently stacking the frames via a snap fit onto the skirt of the Z-Finder until the LCD screen is in focus for you.
