Preston Cinema Systems
Preston Cinema Systems has been manufacturing lens and camera control systems for over 20 years. Many of their products such as the Micro Force zoom control have since become industry standards.
Micro Force Digital 2
A new ergonomic design provides a rounded grip for comfortable all-day use. The integral camera run switches allows remote run/stop operation. The MF2 may also be used to provide the zoom function in conjunction with the FI+Z system, as well as interface to professional Canon and Fuji video lenses (having the 12 pin Hirose connector).
Digital Lens Control
The Digital Lens Control (“DLC”) is a complete, stand-alone unit for use with DM-1 Digital Motors. It incorporates the same automatic lens calibration system, velvet smooth control knob, and electronic scale expansion system as its big brother FI+Z. In addition, motor torque limits may be programmed from the front panel.
DM1 & DM2 Digital Motor pro
The DM2 motor is a smaller and lighter version of the original DM1. It is intended to perform the Focus, Iris or Zoom functions on all but the stiffest cinema lenses (these jobs should still be relegated to its bigger brother DM1). The length of the DM2 housing is 100mm (3.9″), compared to 120mm (4.7″) for the DM1, while its weight has been reduced by 30% of the DM1 – from 415g to 290g. Both units share the same rugged worm reduction gearing with DLC coatings. They also share motor housings which are machined from a solid bar of Magnesium alloy and coated with a special ceramic before painting. This combination provides exceptional resistance to salt spray and moisture.
FI+Z
The FI+Z is a 3-channel lens and camera control system. Its modular design allows it to be configured in wireless or cable configurations.
V+F Lens Control
The V+F Lens control is a single channel wireless/cable control for use with DM-1 or DM-2 digital motors. When used with video cameras and cinema-style lenses, it allows control of the iris either through the camera or through a choice of hard wire or wireless controls.
